Northern Touge Race Day!!!
I just cannot believe that of all the Northern bloggers, I would be the latest in posting this! Dang you fellas are well informed. Great effort guys.
Anyway, as the poster says, a race day is coming up (c'mon you guys aren't there for open track.. bloody speed junkies!) and we're psyched as hell!
We're going big y'all! Only Penang participants itself have already accumulated to 30+ cars to be in the race, and even automatic driven wheels will be joining in as well!

Automobiles!
In the midst of driving around and getting wedding things done, I still had much time on my hands especially when on the road, to get beaut pics of beaut automobiles!
This is an original Galant VR-4 owned by a police buddy. It had so many unresolved probems when it came over to Chris' place (thorugh recommendation) but all has been settled and with only minor expenditure (as compared to his previous bils). Chris is da man!
It has 4.... wheel..... steering... Hahaha... But this particular one also has 4WD. Ultimate touge machine man... I'm lovin' it! psst... I can't halp but to cope a ride... I still wish I could drive it 'tho.
But what's this? Check out what this oldie goldie is running on!

My big bro, Hai - PAWNED!!!
The title may seem a little misleading but... That's what happens to us all when we get wed right? We share our family and fortunes with an exemplary model of exuberant beauty... And we get handed a passbook which has to be signed or stamped for approval everytime we pick up the car keys without the missus in tow! Hahaha... So in short, we're (the men) PAWNED!
So here's where it all happened. The Wonderland Restaurant just next to Komtar.
The beautiful view of downtown Penang, the heart of Georgetown, as seen from the restaurant.
The beautiful reception hall.
And the stage where its all going to happen.
I also had a photo op with the beauties from our planning department, although, I have to say that women take GREAT efforts to beautify. I didn't even recognize half of them!
Our in house live band with Kek as vocalist, which the groom thought he'd do much better... So he did! With YS on the bass, Alvin (hidden behind the groom) as lead guitar, and Greg (fr Texas) as second string!

The bride was invited up on stage by the groom for a love ballad in her honor!
Everyone's favourite production manager was pissed drunk since he was voted as "the best alcoholic wingman"! Bwahahaha.... Lookit how red he is!
Then on Sunday morning, it was time to go grab that bride. To snatch her from the clutches of freedom and throw her into the abyss of marital..er... bliss...?!?!?!

Here are the lead cars, the Nissan Murano Impul! Beautiful machines.
Little bro Impul Latio was there too as support crew! Snappy, loving the color silver, was driving the second Myvi from the left, also as support crew... The twist is that I drove there alone, to fetch the bridesmaids home! I love my job!
The beautiful bride all in white, and the groom beaming from ear to ear. Congratulations bro! Family photo of the groom's family. So who's nexxxt?!?! Hahaha... Congratulations and may all your wishes be fulfilled...
p.s. I got to "tipu" (con) two ang pows from the groom... Nyek nyek nyek!

Mango Re-visited
After driving Dennis' Mango on track last time around, along with listening to him lamenting about all the apparent issues of his beaut vehicle, I just couldn't shake the feeling that something is going on under wraps.
I decided to pay Dennis a visit yesterday and we chatted a bit about his new line of absorbers, Touge X2 and Competition, then he decided to unravel the plot behind what is to be of Mango.
Here goes.....
I found Mango stranded without shoes to walkabout.
But what's this? The ankle (anatomizing car parts vs human parts are just... Wrong!) is missing!
Guess what's going on in there? I'll leave for Dennis to update on this :P
Relocated battery to rear with super thick cables. I suspected them to be...
Welding cables!Lookit the thread count and insulation!
Similar mod coming to Silver Banana soon as I've to make space for another DIY project under the hood.
Rear quarter looks nicer than mine ever did albeit a busted lamp. Trust me when I tell you, these lights are EXTREMELY difficult to find.
Original sandblasted rear windscreen! How authentic can ya' get?
Thanks for the cuppa and char koay teow (drool all those in KL.. Nyek nyek... I'm sooo evil!), not to mention sharing your plans for Mango with me, Dennis. It's indeed a tiresome job to restore an oldie but there's nothing as satisfying!
Great job with the new line of abs and good luck with the Perdana prototype. Let me know the results ya ;)

Think outta the box, or you're outta here! - Camo3 visit
I'd paid a visit to Camo3 recently, a joint venture of Daniel (EK) and Alvin (Army Boi!) just for kicks and to check out their designer (whom I heard from Daniel is quite a looker). Camo3 is advertising and events setup company with in house designing capabilities and events management upon request.
This name plate is still fresh, it only got installed after I left. I got Daniel to send me pics of it :P *cheat*
The path leading to a hallmark of creativity and ideas.
The war room where it all happens! *See the cute designer? -Far right-*
The coffe area for yum cha and to enjoy the "heritaage" buildings :P
I arrived ahead of time and both Daniel and Alvin were out, so I strayed and wandered around the office to find this gem of an old-schooler! It's a 2nd generation Galant, great-great-great-great-great-grandpa to my Silver Banana!
Original badging still retained albeit the rivets.
I suspect this is the logo for the Galant back then eh?
Profile look of the beaut unit!
Check out the old school steel rims...
Offset kau kau wan lor!!!
After that, the heat kinda got to me and I cannot tahan liao. So I rang the doorbell and went in to have a seat first... The first thing I saw, was that Daniel is right, the designer IS a looker! So I had a nice long chat with her which was ended by Daniel's intrusion! :P
After lazing around a bit and checking up some stuff online, we went off to grab some lunch. Alvin proposed to have nasi lemak at one of the lorongs off Burma Road. I have to admit, kinda good stuff although a little pricey and TINY portions.
Daniel pigging out before any of us touched the food!
Whilst Alvin was just prepping to dig in.
Thanks guys for having me over, I really appreciate it. I hope to work closely and further our goals together!
Kampai~!!! *sips watermelon juice*

High Times - Relau
Local authorities are everywhere these past few weeks that its a drag and bore just to leave home. Not to mention any form of touge was getting dreary, considering the amount of trouble we've been running into. So what do a group of men do when there's no lepak-ing to be done? We drink, make merry, cheer & jeer, just basically blow our minds with intoxication! Our version of High Times, which had actually just started last week and it was so much fun, we did it again last night!
We started off with dinner... I met up with Soon at Mansion II in Relau, but he was still busy, so I took a nap in the office whist waiting. Then Tommy, Raj, Bom... etc, arrived and were famished. So off we went to a nearby shop for dinner and yum cha whilst waiting for Soon.
Soon cleaned up and was ready to leave when his boss invited to dinner with him... I, of course, politely refused but was forced to go anyhows. So I waited for Mark to meet me whilst Soon and Vincent (his boss) went off to "makan" first.
Mark got to the meeting place (which shall stay secret) and we got our "Kingfisher's", Daniel brought the whisky, and we all met up with Soon and Vincent for "makan-ing"... Or rather nibbling since all three of us were full liao.
Everyone had "makan-ed" and we were set to go... So we went to the High Times location in Relau, and Harold and Kumar were there to get the party going.
Our choice of (VERY) strong brew... Kingfisher - In support of F1! We're still petrolheads at heart :P
After a few rounds and our cans were empty, so were our stomachs... Daniel made some of his superb baked sausages in some superb sauce and spices. We shall call it "Daniel sauce", so we had sausages baked in Daniel sauce... That sounds so wrong in so many ways no matter which way you look at it :P
We were all getting pretty high on laughter and antics alone.
Sorry for the extremely dark pics as we were trying to attain "cinema-feel-with-tv".

After all the beer was gone... It was time for the.. W-H-----Y... What's that spell? Well, see for yourself...
Then Mark got all joyful and started stepping to some soundtrack.
No pictures... No pictures...

OK OK... Bring it on!
After all that hyper dancing, he went off to do the dishes...
While we slacked in front of the TV the whole time!
Soon was extremely joyful

And Daniel was getting paranoid... I wonder what he packs in his ciggies eh?
After all that, Mark had to take leave whilst we were winding down and decided to have some fun with Initial D snapshots (since Soon drives a replica Evo III).. Hey! IT WAS DANG FARNEE RIGHT THEN OK?!?!?!
Kena cucuk liao.
Yea... What he says! :P
Soon causes the old banger to stall.
