Soon has completed another "salivacious" car and its the ever popular Toyota Vios brought in by Joven's buddy. The car came kitted with a horrendous bumper and the full of gaps.
Soon brought upon himself to resolve the gap issues and satisfy his customer's requirements.
The bumper was re-made and most panels were remolded to close up all the "in-between" gaps.
Soon put in the final piece, the number plate, and the Vios was good to go. All this was of course brought to you by Hyper Racing with Soon's ever diligent craftsmanship.
After resolving most outstanding jobs, we were relieved and refreshed to take on a night's partying. It being Soon's birthday and all... We went to Khun Thai for wonderful thai delights.
Where the three stooges celebrated their birthdays together. The cake was specially made for us by our Northern Touge baker buddy, Sean.
Although stuffed, the festivities had to go on. So we continued at our usual drinking spot, d'Oasis. A few calls were made and all our buddies arrived... With Kenny being tardy, which he duely paid for the party!
Soon was feeling awefully artistic and decided to garble us a few tunes. Tall, dark and hairy Soon quickly gathered a flock of beautiful fans.

Silver gone Black!
I woke up to a gloomy, rainy Saturday morning and I just sat by Silver with a good cup of java for company. Under the incandescent lighting, with the droning sound of rain splatter, and caffeine early in the morning, the play of light on Silver's pearly paint just struck me that the wheels are too dang shiny in all its hyper-silver glory. A re-paint then!
Off I went to RPM, paint and masking tape in one hand, and sandpaper in the other, we were going to initiate the re-paint. Here's a picture of the all shiny rims in hyper silver.
And this is after a mild scrub using the industrial grade paper my buddy hooked me up with. Super efficient with water, the abrasives keep going on and on. I only used a 3"x6" strip to finish off scrubbing all 4 rims.
This is a close up of the scrub marks. Check out the spokes, all the lacquer and paint is gone!!!
Scrubbed down, scratched up and cleaned with Fab.
Then air dried to void contaminants and particles from the surface.

I did the masking job to prevent overspray and to maintain the perfectly polished lip.
Front rims were sprayed and proceeding to mask and spray the rears.
Fer doing all the spraying. He has amazing control of the spray cans in small areas. I swear he could be a graffiti artist in some past life.
The painter double checking all his fine work then the finishing touches will be layered on.

Northern Touge Race Day - Sanjev's cam
Another contributor and VERY dedicated photographer (he was out in the glaring sun the entire day) Sanjev had just passed me his beautifully taken pictures for Northern Touge. Enjoy!
The morning meet at Bkt. Merah R&R.
Our massive convoy passing through the Cangkat Jering toll.
Arrival at the track with a kiss of the beautiful morning sun.
Our sole auto K-car racing under the 1.6 category, Bom (Jason). He made it into the finals. Respect!
The gruelling fight in the 1.6 category which ended with the two Vios' taking a 1-2 finish followed by the Kelisa! Kudos to the sole K-car podium finisher.
The open class being led, by far, by the number 13 EK track car driven by Patrick Tam, which took pole all the way to the finish.
Participation was beyond our estimation with a massive turnout of spectators. Crowd was allowed on track upon ending the 1.8 category finals with the champ cars basking in the glory.
The champ cars - Red EF from Hup Yew Tires & Batteries and the Black Wira from Kiong Lee exhaust taking home top spots.

The top dogs in the 1.8 category battling it out to see Chin Hooi (red EF) take top podium, followed by Suhaimi (black Wira) in a close second and Patrick's (red/white EK) take home a cool third.
In conclusion, I'd like to thank all our sponsors: Northern Garage, Kiong Lee Exhaust, Tommax Stickers & No. Plate, and Chean Exhaust for all their support and encouragement.
It was a fantastic event held with much drama, sweat and tears, fellowship amongst enthusiasts and lastly, everyone left with a smile to their weary faces.
See you guys next round!

Quaint dinner with Daniel
After the day's ordeal, Daniel and I went for a quaint dinner to settle ourselves... He brought me to a roadside shack for some awesome noodle soup.
There were simple stalls setup around the shack and food were sold off mobile stalls (trishaw, van, and lorry).
An uncle that has sold satay there for more than 20yrs.
The light dinner was just what we needed at the end of a tiring day :)

Sifu's Wedding Reception
As we mature and develop, the marital clock ticks and nags at our threads of life. In no time, we find ourselves fallen prey... er... betrothed and thus ending our lively social calendar. One such victim... uhm... lucky person is my touge sifu of old and DIY king, Johnson Lam, whom had his reception last weekend.
We attended the beautiful reception and dinner with lots of "yam seng" (Chinese toast similar to "cheers", "kampai" or "salute"), laughter and prodding jokes!
The bride and groom's entrance.

Day of relaxation
Yesterday was a great day of lazing and relaxing... Hanging around and just doing nothing!
I went about Christopher's shop to get my tires changed back to more streetable ones, then to Tommax Stickers to get the decals removed and lazed around the whole day. It started to drizzle about lunch time and rightly so as it was hot as h3ll... Then we spotted this beaut little Mk I Ford Escort. Check out the paint job... It's got HIGHLIGHTS~!
I went home in the evening to a wonderful dinner with my girlfriend, she'd cooked broth on a cool stormy night, something hot and steamy for the palate, wonderful!
We had dinner in front of the TV, eating to the sounds of 300 Spartans!
Not to be left out, here's a pic of this cute little guy we found in the office under my boss' desk last week. Ain't he cute? Dang!
