Believe you me, this baby handles beautifully with a fondness to oversteer and the copious amounts of torque, with the aid of the SC, pulling it along. You can just control the balance with the throttle and a little left foot braking.

Friday's Frivolities - 2 Gen.'s of 'Rollas
The Dragon70's engine is being serviced and refreshed with new parts whilst Chun is measuring up the engine mounts, moving the engine as far back as possible for better weight distribution.
The T50 gearbox had also arrived and we found a worn clutch and immediately placed an order for a racing unit to be shipped immediately. The clutch will be arriving on Monday when installation work will resume.
The interior has been cleared and cleaned by Leng himself and will go through re-wiring very soon.
As I had mentioned previously about having another FI in the Northern Touge family. Here's Chea's pristine AE92 of the supercharged variety. We have sourced for its twin-pot (also from the AE92) brake pads and this beauty will be getting a new set of stoppers really soon.
Ahh... The memories... I love this model. Light (in comparison with my ride), tough and simply a pleasure to drive. Over a decade old and not a single creak or squeak going over rough surfaces. I had that scoop on my EE90 too, but mine was a dummy :P
The engine bay is cramped and fully stock except for the air filter...
And a Jasma approved extractor. Sweet!
After changing to Eagle F1's all round, I had the privilege of driving this Supercharged lightweight (I drive a Perdana, so sue me!) at the uphill touge (reminisce).

Another FI in NT
The Northern Touge community is inducting yet another FI (forced induction) member into our midst. This time in the form of a Toyota!
Here's the first mod that's going to be done at RPM Autoworks this weekend. So we got it all washed down and painted up nice and "purty" whilst we wait for the brake pads to arrive.
Check back for updates ;)

Twisting forces and its impedance!
Upon retrieving his car from our panel workshop, Soon had since converted his frontage to resemble that of the current Lancer Evolution. With great gaping bumpers, comes great wide washboard intercoolers. Once everything had been installed and my warranted test drive, we'd come to a conclusion that his car was now lacking response. Fer got to tuning and, DANG!, Soon's now boosting from low down the RPM range right up till redline... Wait for it... Lag free! The response was just unbelievable, point-squeeze-shoot! This GSR is rockin'~!
As uncle Spidey mentioned, with great power, comes great responsibility, which in this case is manifested by a huge metal plate and a chunk of casted iron!
It was a boring Sunday as usual, and I was just hanging out at home whilst the guys visited 99 in BM where they met Tan and Chean (from Team Chean Exhaust). Everyone bought a little something and returned in the evening, which was when I got an SMS, calling me to RPM.
A comparison of what's coming off, versus what's going on in a minute! Note the huge difference in size. In automotive, every millimetre counts a lot! And these brakes were approximately an inch bigger, which equates to 25.4mm. And that says a lot like no other!
Even the calipers were huge-rer. Note the extra reinforcement (ribs) on the caliper body and of course, the extra piston.
The one that's coming off.
The one up and running! (or stopping, more like it)
Soon was "ponna" gay (I mean happy la macha) to be working on his own stoppers.
We were, as usual, JKR-ing whilst Soon was sweating bullets whilst swapping discs. Once he was done with the install, I couldn't help but jump on the photo-op. These babies look huge, peeking out from behind the OZ replicas.
With a sweaty brow, and equally wet shirt, Soon was a hungry man (he missed dinner). So we dismissed to Fantasi for some drinks, chat (where I was going nuts for some sort, any sort of well balanced and linear forced induction), and eventually left for home.

What's customary after every upgrade, I wonder??? Hmm... 5 letters, starts with a "T" and ends with an "E". Let me help ya out, T_G_E~!! Hahaha... Check back here for its performance review :P

Review of the twins!
I just can't help but to blog about the twins now hiding behind those gorgeous 17's.
The performance is exemplary of how negative Gs should feel and I'm starting to enjoy braking late into corners as much as following certain lines that were never apparent to me before. I could accelerate for longer periods then jab the brakes in preparation for the upcoming turn.
I'd never thought a slight (10mm) increment in rotor diameter would outperform my original brakes by so much!
I had a test run with Daniel recently and I was driving as how I initially did in the reverse course. Putting in a lot of braking points just to see how the brakes would hold together (I'm still using the pads that came with the brakes as they're still very thick, but I do not know what brand/model they are), and amazingly, there was no fade at all whatsoever!
p.s. I have a set of Toyota twin pots from the Corolla SE Supercharged up for sale from my previous Corolla SE 1.5 SOHC Weber.

Installed!
After much anticipation... My twin pot brakes are installed and running.
I'd decided to use it as it is, since Chris checked it out to be ok, and do without servicing. Ran in the brake pad-rotor contours and had a blast up the Batu Feringghi touge last night to test them out.
Performance thus far is still dull, I suppose they're still running in. But the pedal feel is getting better and better so I guess its not long to go before I can touge all out! I miss the touge indefinitely... Although, I have to say, the calipers stayed cool to the touch even after a hard drive. These buggers are the shiznit! (got the cliche off an old movie :P)

Here's how they compare to my old discs. Psst... The rusty ones are my "new" discs.
And this is how it looks installed within my 17". I have to say, I love the "fullness" it brings, about how it fills out the wheels.
Due to my excitement and bouncing around during installation and cracking stupid jokes with Tommy, I didn't get many pics. I hope these suffice.
This was a mod based on need rather than want... (My old discs cracked, and another set warped and FUBAR). Just sad that I had to spend so much on this item. I hope it'll be worthwhile. Will get to know this weekend... *sly smile*

Monday night excursion(s)!
Yesterday (Monday) evening, I'd met up with Tommy to have a short chat on my way back home. Then Chris (my mech) showed up and told me the twin pot brakes are ready to be transported, thing is, I've to be the transport :P
So I'd waited with Tommy at our usual yum cha place, Fantasi Nasi Kandar, whilst Chris got himself prepped and waiting for his contact to call us up. Outta the blue, Akihito-chan (Edison) showed up in his soupped up Satria to join us for drinks and a good laugh. Then Chris called me up to fetch him as its time to go across Pg bridge to get my brakes. Sanjev had arrived as I was leaving (sorry fella) so I'd said my goodbyes coz it was getting late and I was too excited for my 2-pots!
We took a relaxing cruise across Penang Bridge and met up with Chris' contact near 99 (huge auto accs. shop in BM) for a drink and dinner, then got my calipers and rotors off him. It was 11+p.m. by then so we bid him farewell and took leave.
I dropped Chris back for a good rest coz he's an installation to do tomorrow :P And I went home beaming with joy...

The long wait
I've to wait for my brakes... Dang it! I cannot tahan la... I was hoping to go up for a touge session by tomorrow night... But sadly, I can only go retrieve them (brakes) on Sunday afternoon so I'll be missing this weekend's touge session again.
DOWN LOR!!!
Anyone wanna fetch me for a ride up the touge tomorrow night? :P

Yay! My super mech Christopher had found me a good set of twin pots and am waiting anxiously for their delivery. Chris had promised to service whatever is necessary before the installation.
I hope they perform as good as I hear they do :P
Thanks to all my friends for all your effort in hunting down this item for me. The tedious search is finally over.
