Auto City Carnival (part2)

Finally, the piece de resistance, Soon's masterfully crafted DTM lookalike Alfa Romeo 156 which looked every bit the part along with Dekra stickers and the works! In the pic also is the man himself... Mr. Hyper Custom... Ah Soon~! Look at him beaming all over... But dun ask me why he's grabbing his balls :P

The ever supportive Toms Stickers were present and helped install some eleventh hour decals.

Even the lovely beauties were attracted by the winking Alfa that they couldn't resist raring their rears to it. Soon got some lovely pics of them and some with him as well. Lucky b@stard!
The Alfa clinched the first prize and Soon returned home with the Champion trophy that night. Congratulations and all the best with the next project Soon~!!!
Cheers~!!!

Vios - Refurbished!

Soon has completed another "salivacious" car and its the ever popular Toyota Vios brought in by Joven's buddy. The car came kitted with a horrendous bumper and the full of gaps.
Soon brought upon himself to resolve the gap issues and satisfy his customer's requirements.
The bumper was re-made and most panels were remolded to close up all the "in-between" gaps.
Soon put in the final piece, the number plate, and the Vios was good to go. All this was of course brought to you by Hyper Racing with Soon's ever diligent craftsmanship.
After resolving most outstanding jobs, we were relieved and refreshed to take on a night's partying. It being Soon's birthday and all... We went to Khun Thai for wonderful thai delights.
Where the three stooges celebrated their birthdays together. The cake was specially made for us by our Northern Touge baker buddy, Sean.
Although stuffed, the festivities had to go on. So we continued at our usual drinking spot, d'Oasis. A few calls were made and all our buddies arrived... With Kenny being tardy, which he duely paid for the party!
Soon was feeling awefully artistic and decided to garble us a few tunes. Tall, dark and hairy Soon quickly gathered a flock of beautiful fans.
With an exceptionally affectionate individual taking to his broad shoulders! Hahaha...
An awesome end to a beautiful day. Cheers all!

Wading through some CRD Multigrade

It's the festive season and activities (especially automotive induced ones) have ground down to almost a halt with everyone beautifying and keeping their rides in check for the festive season.

I've multiple parties asking about the sudden slowing down in my blog, and I'm glad to say that nothing much has changed, only that upgrading works have been going on and everyone is still progressing in their careers and automotive wise.

One such tale is that Hyper Racing has incorporated and providing bodykit services. From skirts to wings, bumpers to aero installs, and minor modification jobs to full fibre fantasy project cars. All fibre works will be done by Ah Soon (formerly from RABK, then at Mansion II), whom is already reknown for his craftsmanship and dedication to completing kits to your fulfilment.

There will be some more changes, so watch this spot for highlights after the Chinese New Year.

Body builder Fiat

One fine evening after work, I visited Mansion II to meet up with Soon for one of our weekly gym sessions when I saw this massive build autoshow Fiat. Soon had completed this as his last project at RABK before taking leave.
It was a slow and painful build with immaculate finishing, the paint itself cost upwards of RM7K. Even the interior was not spared.
As I moved to catch a view of the rear, I'd recalled that this model has an RR configuration like Porsche and the VW Beetle. So I took a peep in the boot to find...
An immaculate extractor built from 304 stainless steel. This custom fabrication cost the owner a whopping RM 1,200.00.
Although only displacing a kei car class engine, the acceleration on this beauty (up to one's perception) was Kelisa beating.
This restoration and body building excercise was just fantastic, the owner was so passionate about Fiat. He actually runs a Fiat restoration facility downtown and this is only one of his 3 owned, where the other 2 were complete classic restoration projects. This show car is definitely worth its while.

VictorGR.. Pimpin' new outlook

I got a call from Victor yesterday just as I was leaving the office that he'd visited Soon at Mansion II and getting some new "peripherals" for his freshly coated RX-7. So after packing up, I was quite motivated to get a look at his newly styled FC since he's always had a unique sense of style.

I arrived a little later than expected due to a huge accident involving an industrial bus and 6 bikes, but that's a whole different story altogether. Here's when we caught Vic performing his JDM pose with his beaut yellow FC.
Nice rump with an excellent "circular-motive-thingy" decal with sakuras. Being the exceptional one, always, the sakuras are cut out of translucent pink tinting sheets.
VGR's new additions to the outlook. As always, Soon's workmanship is flawless.
Excellent install agreed to by the looks of that huge smile on Vic's face.
Thanks for calling me up for the meet Vic. Cheers on the fantastic outlook. Do call me up for a viewing when the paint's done ok? Cheers!
p.s. I just couldn't help but get a vanity shot of the Silver Banana, seeing how the rims shone after a good wash!

Stiff Lip~!

It was a sunny albeit boring Saturday afternoon and Soon and I were just lazing at Mansion II after having our lunch. There were a multitude of tasks but we were just too lazy to move. Then Soon suddenly got up from his seat, grabbed his drink and L&M in one hand and a lower front lip in the other.

Fitting ensued with much chatter in his usual jovial manner. Lo and behold, after telling me for months that there are no front skirt (lips) for the Perdana, he'd just got his rusty gears cranking and lit up a bloody-big-lightbulb!

Plans were made and modifications and final fitment was to be on Monday evening. We both went home feeling mighty satisfied that night, him for finally thinking it up, and I, just glad that he did :P

Monday evening came past the longest day at work I'd ever had. Time seemed to crawl and grind to a painfully, weary trudge. The clock struck 6p.m. and I was off like a rocket! I made it to Mansion II just in time as Soon was just finishing up a job at hand.

Soon measuring up the front skirt.

He is cutting up two skirts to make one for the Silver Banana.
Centering was done and accurate placement on the bumper's grooves were immaculate.
Trial fitment to get measurements for the extensions to be made.
Double chin!
Corner stubs being fabricated and fitted.
2 become 1... The story of the fiber extension :P (Lame joke, I know)
Soon reinforcing the lip for touge use.
More enforcement and a whole lot more robust.
Grinding off the fiber strands and prepping for install.
Final fitment...
Finally, the finishing touches had been put on and this is the outlook. *Ignore the horrible scar I got from a motorbike*
My first bit of outlook modification courtesy of Mansion II, much thanks to Soon and Vincent for a great job done. I love the extra little flare you guys had put in!
I'm still hesitant, though, on what color I should paint this little addition. A smooth satin black for the racer-boy look or a flowing metallic silver for the OEM take? Any ideas? Do drop me a comment.
p/s If you readers notice, the grill is gone as well. Check back for updates on that ;)

Dan's new facade!

It was a lazy Saturday afternoon as we were all still super sleepy on account that we arrived home around 6a.m. and a couple of us had work that very morning. I on the other hand did not have work, but due to force of habit, I woke up by nine and was watching Transformers The Movie with a bowl of cereal.

Then off I went to get my car checked and to have lunch with Fer Fer (my mech). After which, Daniel had gotten off work and come by to hang out and Eujin came by to get his Kancil tinted. We were chatting away when Mansion II's boss called Daniel up to inform him that his EK's bumper had arrived.

Eujin hopped into my ride and we convoyed with Daniel to see his much awaited new facade. I use facade as his EK had a gentle front for the monster within! But now, all that is going to change... He's getting a meaner look to match its bite!

The new bumper matched up to the old frontage.
After much discussion and debate on how the rump was going to look, the ugly ass spoiler was removed and here's Dan taping up the holes for "waterproofing".Daniel was still unappeased by the proposals and were looking East to Japan and Taiwan for inspiration.
Lookit the level of concentration, matching picture to actual feature (pun intended!).
Soon always had great ideas and after a few proposals, brother Dan was happy and went merrily on his way to rest for another night of un-sleep!

A lost love

I was just sitting around Tommy's place bluntly when WTF was to pass by but Ah Soon's ex..... Car!

It used to be an Evo V bodykit but the bumper seems to have faced some trials and gone missing :P
Butt still looks good 'tho. Hehehe... The rims are beautiful 2 piece items, but sadly, the fronts are also MIA :(
Soon... The horror!!!
